Every visit begins with getting to know your cat. We take time to gently assess their coat, understand their temperament, and make sure they feel at ease — then talk through together what we can achieve during the appointment.
If your cat needs a little extra care – perhaps mat removal, a styling clip, or some remedial coat work – this is always carried out gently on the dry coat before their bath. We’ll talk you through anything beyond the original plan, including any additional cost, before we go ahead. And if your cat’s coat is best cared for over more than one visit, we’ll happily suggest a staged approach, always with their comfort and wellbeing front of mind.
The treatment you book is simply where we begin. From there, every groom is shaped around your cat’s individual coat, condition, and needs — so the outcome is always the best it can be, without ever compromising their welfare.
Grooming Treatments
All treatments include nail trimming, eye cleaning, and ear cleaning as standard.
The House Ritual — £60
The foundation of a well-kept coat. A thorough brush and groom with special grooming powder finish on a dry coat. The essentials, done properly.
Best suited to cats with coats in good condition. Additional services may be added where required.
The Velvet Indulgence — £85
A full luxury bath using our signature shampoo, finished with a professional hand blow-dry and style. All preparation carried out on the dry coat before the wash.
The minimum treatment for any styling cut. Additional services may be added.
The Silk Commission — £105
Preparation on the dry coat, followed by a deep degreasing treatment, our signature shampoo and bath, hand blow-dry, and couture coat-finishing treatment for lasting lustre.
The recommended minimum for a Comb Cut. Includes complimentary minor knot removal.
The Mayfair Edit — £135
Precision preparation and trimming on the dry coat, followed by a full degreasing treatment, signature shampoo and bath, hand blow-dry, and couture coat-finishing.
Includes complimentary minor knot removal and stud tail treatment where required.
The Couture Experience — £175
The full expression of what we do. Sculpting and full preparation on the dry coat, followed by a colour-enhancing shampoo, full bath, hand blow-dry, and couture coat-finishing – plus The Velvet Feline Pamper Hamper to take home.
All restoration and remedial treatments are included as standard where required.

Styling Cuts
For cats whose coat calls for more than a wash and groom, we offer a range of styling cuts — from the classic Lion Cut to a precisely finished Comb Cut. Each is carried out on the dry coat before bathing begins. The bath that follows is not optional: it removes clipper residue, conditions the skin, and ensures the best possible finish, with finishing steps adapted to suit the cut.
Styling cuts are priced in addition to your base treatment, and confirmed at booking following a brief discussion about your cat’s coat and requirements.
Lion Cut — POA
(Minimum base: The Velvet Indulgence, £85)
Body clipped short (approx. 1.8mm), leaving the mane, leg boots, and a full or pom-pom tail. Suited to heavy matting, dense coats, or simply the look itself. Couture coat-finishing isn’t applied to a clipped coat.
Creative Lion Cut Variations — POA
(Minimum base: The Velvet Indulgence, £85)
Custom variations on the classic Lion Cut, including the Bolero (fur retained over the shoulders) and the Mohawk (a strip of fur along the spine). Agreed in advance.
Comb Cut (Teddy Cut) — POA
(Minimum base: The Silk Commission, £105)
Clipped to an even length (3–25mm) using attachment combs — 6mm is most popular, giving a soft, rounded look. Requires a knot-free coat and a pre-wash degreasing treatment for an even finish. Couture coat-finishing applied after blow-dry.
Comb Cut Maintenance — POA
(Minimum base: The Velvet Indulgence, £85)
A return appointment to keep an existing Comb Cut neat and even between full styling appointments.
Additional Services
Available on any treatment. Priced to reflect the time and skill involved. Where several are required, upgrading to the next treatment tier is usually more economical – and we will always say so.

A note on each additional service
Minor Knot Removal Small, loose tangles not close to the skin, brushed out gently.
Heavy Knot & Mat Removal Larger tangles reaching the skin. Time-dependent – final price confirmed before we start. Not a cause for embarrassment; it’s simply where we begin.
Severe Matting (Clip-Out) Dense, felt-like matting that must be clipped rather than brushed out. Assessed individually; severe cases may need more than one visit.
Stud Tail Treatment An oily patch at the tail base some cats develop, which can cause dandruff, hair loss, or irritation if untreated.
De-Shed Treatment Removes excess loose undercoat, reducing shedding and matting at home. Recommended for all long-haired cats before summer.
Flea Shampoo Treatment Specialist shampoo applied during the bath. Please notify us at booking if fleas are present or suspected — this allows us to prepare appropriately and protect other clients.
Tick Removal Safe removal of individual ticks. Please notify us at booking if ticks are present.
Health & Safety
We do not accept cats with ringworm or any other active fungal skin condition.
Ringworm isn’t caused by a worm – it’s a highly contagious fungal infection causing circular, scaly patches, and it can spread to other cats and to humans. This policy covers any active fungal skin condition. If your cat has been diagnosed or is suspected, please wait for veterinary clearance before booking.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue any appointment where a health concern arises that could affect the wellbeing of other cats in our care.
